Hi Guys! I’m Matt and I arrived at the shelter as a stray. No one came looking for me so it looks like I’m in need of a new home. Now I know you’re probably looking at my picture and your heart is just melting because I’m so darn handsome, but take some time to read about me and research my breed. I’m a strong and powerful boy that sometimes doesn’t understand my own strength. I’m kind of like a bulldozer. . . a cute one though :) I LOVE playing with toys, especially ones that squeak. I do vocalize when I play, so don’t be alarmed. I could melt into a puddle of dog when you scratch my ears and belly. It just feels so good! I’m a pretty good boy at keeping my kennel clean, so hopefully I won’t have any accidents at home. I’m not destructive with my blankets or toys, but will kick my blanket off of my bed if I get too hot. I was pretty stinky and it sure was nice having a bubble bath. I was scared, but it felt really nice to be clean! I know some basic obedience and I like shaking a paw the best. Although I’m a big boy, I can get scared easily. Training and socialization will help us build a bond with each other and help me gain some confidence. My breed is not recommended for people who lack assertiveness or don't have time to devote to training and supervision. Rottweilers require firm and consistent training, but not harsh discipline. We can be pig headed at times and need to understand what is expected of us. No one knows if I’ve lived with other animals or children before. I'm under socialized and have not been showing the best behavior with other animals. With that being said, I need a home without other animals would prefer a home with children over the age of 13. It’s not to say I don’t like children, but remember, I’m a bulldozer and scare easily. Young children can get excited very easily – sometimes scary and I’m 106 pounds of dog – bulldozer. If you’re ready for a big, hunk of love, I’m ready to be your boy! ~available for adoption at the shelter~
