My names Rue,

I arrived at the Shelter as a stray with my babies, and no one came looking for me. I had been living on the streets of Cambridge, raising my babies alone. It was a stressful time in my life and it took me a bit of time to learn to trust that I’m now in a safe space and that I can let my guard down. The staff here have been patient and kind with me, making sure I get daily snacks, toys and soft blankets. I still have some work to do in trusting and opening myself up, but I’m trying my best.
My babies are now all grown and have been adopted and it’s now my time to embark on my next life adventure and that’s settling in to a home to call my own.
I’m looking for a quiet and mature home that won’t overwhelm me.
I know I’m a work in progress, but I know I’m worth every second, and the end will be rewarding when I finally realize I’ll never have to live on the streets again. <3
