Faith's Personality

I’m sure you’re all wondering how a gal like me ended up in the shelter system, so here’s my story;
I was brought to Canada from Kentucky when I was about 2 years old and adopted to a wonderful family.  I was adored for many years by my mom and dad and lived an amazing life with them full of adventures and love.  Earlier this year mom became ill and home life began to change.  Mom and dad were going to have to move into assisted living and I unfortunately I wasn’t to go.  It sucks because I would make the BEST assisted living dog EVER!

Since coming to the shelter I was given a full tune up.  Heart and lungs sound great.   Eyes are a bit cloudy, but full of wisdom.  Ears are still hearing things, but can be selective.  Teeth are a bit worn down, but still good for chomping snacks and my toes are still smelly like corn chips.

My bones and my joints have walked for years, they’ve gotten his big body up and down and I’ve jumped in and out of cars exploring what the world has to offer.  I’m at the stage of my life where I require medication to keep me moving like the spring chicken I still think I am.  I’m currently on a joint supplement, metacam and gabapentin and let’s just say this cocktail is magical!  You’d be surprised at how fast this old girl can go – I’ve got some torque!

With that being said, I’m looking for things that will help ease me through my senior years.  A bungalow would be great and I know it may be old school, but some carpet or at least runners would help keep these gangly legs from slip sliding around.

I really just want to be your faithful friend for however long I have left.
If you’re not saying I gotta have faith, faith, faith – George Michaels would be ashamed of you!
