Our Third Annual Howl-o-ween Walk & Family Fun Day is our our largest community event and will be taking place at 1610 Dunbar Road (Galt Curling Club parking lot) on Sunday October 30th from 11am-3pm!

We plan to welcome approximately 200 animal lovers and their fur babies to this event which encourages individuals and families to participate with or without a dog! The Family Fun Day provides participants an opportunity to indulge in our activities, including: a sponsor and vendor marketplace, door prizes, Beavertails Food Truck, pets and games!

This year we have introduced a virtual walk portion.

You can set your own personal goal (walk 10 000 steps a day, walk xx KMs during the months of September/October etc.) and ask your friends and family to sponsor you.

All proceeds from the Howl-o-ween Walk & Family Fun Day will benefit our shelter programs and services.

Animal adoptions, veterinary care, and medical supplies are offered in the community because of the generosity of community minded people such as you. The event also serves as an opportunity to educate and create awareness in the community about our services and yours!

About Us

Our team cares for homeless animals in need of temporary shelter. We look for suitable new homes, and provide education to the community on how to care for their newly adopted pets.

The Cambridge and District Humane Society is a non-profit organization. We are dedicated to protecting and providing shelter to the needy animals of the Cambridge and District community in Ontario, Canada. The Society is completely supported by the generosity of the community it serves. Our animals and organization depends on volunteers and donations in order fulfill our mandate.
