Donations
You can help contribute to providing an essential service for homeless animals in our community. With your support we are able to provide enrichment to the animals who stay longer in our shelter due to age, injury, illness, surgery, or necessary behavioral training. Enrichment means that we give love, one on one companionship, as well as new toys to keep the animals stimulated.
Our new Compassion Program helps marginal income families with the cost of cremation.
Fostering is important for injured animals in recovery and those who are too young to be adopted yet. We also partner with wildlife rescues for injured wildlife that can be rehabilitated.

The Animal’s Compassion Program
The Compassion Program was created to recognize the unmet need in our community for financial assistance for people with marginal incomes who experience an emergency veterinary situation or have lost their beloved pet and cannot afford cremation expenses. This fund is available through the generous donations and net proceeds from pet cremation services for the general public. Cash, gift cards, & item donations are accepted and appreciated! Tax receipts are provided for all donations over $20. Monthly donors receive a single tax receipt at the end of the year.

Monthly giving allows for sustainable revenue that we can count on to help the animals in our care on a monthly basis.

Save A Life
- $30 will provide 1 day of animal care
- $50 will provide enrichment
- $250 will provide the basic needs for a pet waiting for adoption for 1 week
- $350 will provide a spay or neuter
- $1,000-$1,500 will provide a senior dental procedure

Donate Your Car
Donate a Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for the Cambridge & District Humane Society. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to the Cambridge & District Humane Society through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction (depending on its condition, age and location).
