The Cambridge & District Humane Society provides financial assistance funds to family owned pets in need of lifesaving emergency veterinary care, or end of life care whose caregivers cannot afford the full cost of treatment.

Emergency Boarding Program
Short-term, temporary boarding for individuals in crisis. Eligible members of the community requiring access to the Emergency Boarding Program must be referred by a recognized service agency or professional.

If you or someone you know needs access to The Emergency Pet Food Bank. You can take three steps to receive emergency pet food assistance. Learn how we are providing emergency support, to help keep the animals residing in the Cambridge & District area fed.

Join our Foster Care Program to become an animal’s foster parent.
Surrendering Your Pet
All surrenders must have a booked appointment. A surrender fee may be charged at the time of admittance. For more information, please call the shelter to speak with our Animal Care Supervisor, 519-623-7722.
Spay Your Momma Program
Unplanned litters of puppies or kittens can be surrendered, FREE of charge and the shelter will also spay the mother FREE of charge.
